What I Changed About My Meals This Week (And Why It Worked)!

Hi. Welcome back to this week's newsletter. Let's get into it.

I didn’t change my calories this week. I didn’t cut anything out. I didn’t follow a new plan. But I did change something and I felt it almost immediately.

This Week In My Real Life

A few days ago, I caught myself doing something I see all the time with my clients. I was technically eating “healthy”… but my meals felt a little off.

I’d finish eating and still want something. My energy would dip mid-afternoon. Not terrible, just not steady. And I realized: My meals were missing structure, not discipline.

The Small Shift I Made

Instead of overthinking what to eat, I went back to something simple I teach inside my method:

Every meal needs 3 things:
→ Something that stabilizes your blood sugar.
→ Something that supports digestion.
→ Something that actually satisfies you.

Not perfectly. Just intentionally.

Here’s What That Looked Like (Real Example)

One of my lunches this week:

Warm quinoa + sautéed asparagus + lemon + olive oil + grilled chicken.

But here’s why it worked:

  • Protein (chicken) → Keeps blood sugar steady, reduces cravings later.
  • Fiber + carbs (quinoa, asparagus) → Supports digestion + gut health.
  • Healthy fats (olive oil) → Helps with hormone balance + satiety.
  • Acidity (lemon) → Gently supports digestion and makes everything taste better.

Nothing fancy, but it checked all the boxes my body actually responds to.

What Changed (This Is The Part That Matters)?

Within a couple of days:

  • My energy leveled out.
  • Cravings got quieter.
  • I stopped thinking about food all day.

Not because I was eating less… but because my meals were finally working with my body instead of just filling space.

Your Rhythm To Try This Week

Don’t overhaul everything. Just look at one meal a day and ask:

“Is this meal actually supporting me… or just getting me by?”

If it’s the second one, adjust it slightly:

  • Add protein.
  • Add fiber.
  • Add something that makes it satisfying.

That’s it.

What I Want You To Remember?

You don’t need more complicated nutrition advice. You need meals that are:

Balanced enough to stabilize you and simple enough to repeat.

That’s where consistency and real results come from.

I’ll keep sharing what this looks like in real life each week, so you can build your own rhythm without overthinking it.

Talk soon,
Laura

P.S. If your meals have felt “off” lately, it’s probably not you, but it’s the structure of what you’re eating. Start there before you try anything more extreme.
